Kelly Aerospace has accepted a more conventional
method for de-icing the propeller. We have adapted
a standard prop timer with an Ice Shield prop heater
and all respective hardware. By doing so the pilot
can now select prop ice as a separate install item
while certification proceeds with the airframe de-icing.
This also will keep the prop de-ice on a separate
buss.
 COLUMBIA
350/400 CERTIFIED
The Columbia certified prop de-ice protection
system has been completed and we received the STC August
2004.
CIRRUS SR22 CERTIFIED
The Cirrus certified prop de-ice protection
system has been completed and we received the STC September 2006.
 EXPERIMENTAL
KITS FOR FIRE WALL FORWARD
For the experimental market the Thermawing Fire Wall
Forward Kit for the IO 550 Lancair is now ready for
delivery. The FWF kit consist of all items for prop
ice protection and the large alternator for the airframe
de-ice system. All applicable hardware, schematics
and install recommendations are included. Upon completion
of FAA pre certification testing the de-ice controller
and the ice protection air foil heaters will be ready.
Thermawing firewall forward kit
is now available for shipping to the experimental aircraft
builder. These kits were originally designed for the
Lancair IV but have found acceptance in a number of
applications. |
